I was born and raised in New Jersey.  Next door was a horse farm and I loved to draw the horses. I have been admiring and making art ever since.  Reared by artists, my composition skills are honed by both traditional and abstract modalities, as my parents were diverse in their disciplines.  Leaving New Jersey at seventeen, I lived in various states across the country and traveled in Europe.  With a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, I practiced controls design for ten years.  I fell in love with and moved to Maine in 1994 while dealing with a chronic illness.  After having a Thoreau experience in a cabin with no running water and no electricity in the back woods for a year, I came to Peaks Island in 2003.  My first dwelling was the former generator shack for the Ferris wheel that was built back in the heydays of Peaks when it was considered the “Coney Island of Maine.”  Though tiny, it sported a great view.  I began photographing, writing, and healing.
